Hello, friends. Welcome to Warning Track Power, a newsletter by me, Ryan Isaac.

Since leaving the ranks of professional baseball a few years ago, I’ve searched for ways to stay involved and engaged in the game and feed the baseball addiction that lives inside of me. The story ideas and memories continue to flow, and I think I’ve found a home for them.

This newsletter is for people who want an insider’s take on a variety of stories and issues around baseball, some of which aren’t covered by traditional sports media that have to keep pace with the daily tempo of the season (and offseason).

Sometimes I’ll write about personal experiences from my 10 years in baseball operations departments; sometimes I’ll tell stories from my scouting trips; other times I will offer my analysis of players, teams, and strategies. I’m also looking forward to reviewing and appraising trades I was involved in. Baseball rarely affords the chance to look back and evaluate – generally, trades or drafts are graded instantly and never really revisited. We’ll do some of that here, too. My guess is there will be plenty to explore.

I appreciate you taking the time to check out what’s coming.

Sign up now so you don’t miss a single word.

In the meantime, please share with anyone else who you think would be interested.
